"Dak & Bop — Korean for “chicken and rice” — has quickly gained a following in the Korean community and beyond."
— Laurann Claridge, Papercity Magazine
"I was thrilled with what landed on our table: beautiful, bountiful baskets of expertly fried chicken."
— Katharine Shilcutt, Houstonia
"Is it worth the wait? Hell, yes it is. Do yourself a favor, and order a few appetizers and sides, along with a craft beer (they stock several on tap), or a creative cocktail while you wait."
— Mai Pham, Houston Press Food & Drink
The flavors behind the menu
Kimchi, gochujang, ssamjang, bulgogi and more — get to know the Korean staples that give our dishes their kick.

Kimchi
Kimchi, a staple in Korean cuisine, is a traditional side dish of salted and fermented vegetables, such as napa cabbage and Korean radish, made with a widely varying selection of seasonings including gochugaru, spring onions, garlic, ginger, and jeotgal, etc.

Bulgogi
Bulgogi, literally "fire meat", is a gui made of thin, marinated slices of beef grilled on a barbecue or on a stove-top griddle.

Gochugaru Flakes
Gochugaru flakes are Korean red chili peppers that are dried in the sun.

Jja Jiang
Chunjang is a black, salty soybean paste that is used for making the sauce for jjajangmyeon, a very popular dish in Korean Chinese cuisine.
